Parliamentary Procedure Team Finals: Three Parliamentarians are needed at the Sheraton Hotel on Saturday, March 3rd at 7:00 a.m. for a complimentary breakfast in the Press Club, 2nd floor. After an orientation by the contest administrator, they will judge the final round from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Judges must commit to the entire block of time.
Contest Description: The team will demonstrate the use of correct parliamentary procedure through a chairman’s ability to conduct a business meeting in a democratic manner that allows the members of the team to effectively participate. The team’s knowledge of parliamentary procedure will be examined through presentation and oral questions by a panel of Parliamentarians. This round of competition is composed of the top candidates from the preliminary round. The winning candidates will represent Texas in April at the 2012 national Business Professionals of America competition in Chicago, Illinois.
