Parliamentary Procedure Team Prelims: Nine Parliamentarians are needed at the Sheraton Hotel for the prelim round on Friday, March 2nd at 1:00 p.m. for a complimentary lunch in the Press Club, 2nd floor. After an orientation by the contest administrator, they will judge the preliminary round from round from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Judges must commit to the entire block of time.
Contest Description: After taking an objective test, the team will demonstrate the use of correct parliamentary procedure through a chairman’s ability to conduct a business meeting in a democratic manner that allows the members of the team to effectively participate. The team’s knowledge of parliamentary procedure will be examined through presentation and oral questions by a panel of Parlimentarians.
