Extemporaneous Speech Finals: Two judges are needed at the Sheraton Hotel on Saturday, March 3rd at 7:00 a.m. for a complimentary breakfast in the Press Club, 2nd floor. After an orientation by the contest administrator, they will judge the final round from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Judges must commit to the entire block of time.
Contest description: The student will demonstrate communication skills in arranging, organizing, and effectively presenting information orally to a panel of judges without prior knowledge of the topic. This round of competition is composed of the top candidates from the preliminary round. The winning candidates will represent Texas in April at the national Business Professionals of America competition in Chicago, Illinois.
