Extemporaneous Speech Prelims: 6 judges are needed at the Sheraton Hotel on Friday, March 1st at 7:00 a.m. for a complimentary breakfast in the Press Club, 2nd floor. After an orientation by the contest administrator, they will judge the preliminary round from from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Judges must commit to the entire block of time.
Contest description: The student will demonstrate communication skills in arranging, organizing, and effectively presenting information orally to a panel of judges without prior knowledge of the topic.
