Entrepreneurship Finals: Two judges are needed at the Sheraton Hotel on Friday, March 2nd at 1:00 p.m. for a complimentary lunch in the Press Club, 2nd floor. After an orientation by the contest administrator, they will judge the final round of contestants from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Judges must commit to the entire block of time.
Contest description: The student will develop an operating plan and organizational structure to initiate a small business. Competitors are to assume they are presenting their business plan to potential investors at a bank with the objective of securing financing for their business venture. This round of competition is composed of the top candidates from the preliminary round. The winning candidates will represent Texas in April at the national Business Professionals of America competition in Chicago, Illinois.
