Texas BPA Mourns Loss

Hunter Schwertner, former Area 4, Region 1 President and former Texas BPA State Secretary, passed away in a car accident on August 19, 2014. Hunter was an active member of the Floydada BPA chapter where he, along with his team members, was 2014 State and National Champions in Video Production Team. He recently graduated from Floydada High School as Salutatorian of his class and was set to attend the University of Texas at Austin in the McCombs School of Business. He was returning home from Austin to prepare for the Fall semester when the accident occurred.

 

Information about services for Hunter Schwertner, former BPA Regional and State Officer, are listed below. The family and friends are working towards a scholarship that will be established in his honor. BPA State Officers will be eligible to apply for this scholarship. Contributions can be sent to:
